PO-05-024 LEADLESS CARDIAC PACEMAKER IMPLANTATION IN HEART TRANSPLANT RECIPIENTS: SAFETY AND OUTCOMES

Leadless cardiac pacemakers (LCP) appear to have lower risk of device infection and bacteremia compared transvenous systems. Heart transplant patients are at increased for cardiovascular implantable electronic complications, but there is limited data on the safety effectiveness LCPs in these patients; this especially true when repeat myocardial biopsies necessary. To report outcomes performance heart recipients, some whom also underwent endomyocardial Retrospective analysis all recipients a single institution who received leadless pacemaker, either tine-affixed (Micra – Medtronic Inc.) or helix- affixed (Aveir Abbott Inc.), between April 2018 thru September 2022. Data demographics, clinical characteristics, pacemaker interrogations, changes, biopsies, allograft vasculopathy screening was collected. Pacemaker interrogations were performed collected as followed. Twelve LCP implantation (tine-affixed: 11 helix-affixed: 1 patient): mean age 59.5±12.5 years, gender 8 males/4 females. The indication sinus node disease (n=2) high-degree AV block (n=10). follow-up time 473±518 days. A total 12 (mean 1±1.3) 6 (see Swimmer plot figure). interrogation showed no clinically significant differences pacing thresholds, sensing impedance over time, following biopsies. Two upgrade CRT-P during follow-up. viable treatment option symptomatic bradycardia after transplant. Endomyocardial do not affect function. Further research needed confirm efficacy with history transplantation.
